Cathy’s most recent past life was in the corporate world, and that of a business development and client & community relationship manager, within the Sonoma County community banking arena. She has also dabbled in real estate as a sales agent with several local new home developer/builders.
Cathy’s love of photography dates back to her youth as “the kid with the camera”; moving onto being the family photographer, company event photographer and “never ever seen anywhere without a camera, kind of gal”.
Treks to the Sonoma & Mendocino coasts, Sonoma & Napa wine country, and San Francisco, have all offered an array of color and interest to her photography. Holidays experienced throughout California, Nevada, Oregon, Washington, Arizona, New Mexico, Alaska, Hawaii & New York have presented much eye candy to her “eye of the camera”, to include Canada, Mexico, Ireland & France.
Nature, the sky, the sea, and curious objects are all part of Cathy’s “eye”.
Cathy’s 35mm Canon EOS Rebel has gone by the wayside to most activity with her Canon EOS 60D Digital. What a difference Adobe Elements and Aperture can make!
Her fascination with collage and random themes provide another element to her photography. Colorful papers, dried flowers, transfers, photographs, sea shells, and a patchwork of other clutter create another interesting and vibrant form of art.
Cathy is the owner/partner, gallery director and exhibitor at Towers Gallery in Cloverdale, and also a member and exhibitor at the Riverfront Art Gallery in Petaluma.
Cathy has exhibited in the Petaluma Arts Council (PAC) Gallery, Gallery One, the PAC’s “Art Around Town”, the Petaluma Arts Association’s (PAA) “Art Around Town” and Art in the Park.
Cathy is a member of the Petaluma Arts Council and Petaluma Arts Association and volunteers with both organizations at various events and on committees.

Cathy serves on the Advisory Board for Hospice of Petaluma, Memorial Hospice (Santa Rosa) & North County Hospice (Healdsburg), inclusive of their Community Education Committee, while chairing their “Wednesday at the Hospice House” speaker series. She is a graduate of their Volunteer Services Program for Care Giving and Grief Support and provides grief services to the Sonoma County community.
She additionally serves as a member of the local PBS, KRCB Channel 22, Community Action Council, and also volunteers as a talent coordinator at their various wine & travel auctions.
Cathy is a graduate of Leadership Santa Rosa’s (LSR) Class VIII. She is a member of the LSR Alumni Association and past president; and past Ambassador of the Year for the Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce. Cathy has also previously served on and chaired various committees for the Petaluma Area Chamber of Commerce, Santa Rosa Chamber of Commerce, and numerous other organizations, such as the American Cancer Society Board, the Sonoma County Library Foundation, the LSR Steering Committee and Rebuilding Together-Petaluma.
